Privacy Policy

Stay Focused ACT (“we,” “us,” or “the service”) is a free, donation-supported study tool for the ACT Science section. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ACT, Inc. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@stayfocusedact.com.

We collect only what we need to give you an account and save your study progress:

• Account information. Your email address, a display name you choose, and a password. Passwords are handled and stored securely by our authentication provider: we never see or store your raw password.
• Google sign-in data.If you choose “Continue with Google,” Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us so we can create or access your account. We do not receive your Google password.
• Study & usage data. Your practice results, mock test scores, streaks, vocabulary progress, preferences, and similar activity you generate while using the service.
• Support messages. If you submit a bug report or contact us, we keep what you send so we can respond and fix issues.
• Automatically collected data.Basic technical information such as device type, browser, approximate region, and anonymized performance metrics, collected through privacy-focused analytics (see “Analytics” below).

We use the information above to:

• Create and maintain your account and sign you in.
• Save and sync your progress, scores, and preferences across devices.
• Operate features like leaderboards, stats, and review.
• Respond to support requests and fix bugs.
• Understand aggregate usage so we can improve the service.
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed:

• Supabase: authentication and database hosting (your account and study data).
• Vercel: website hosting and privacy-focused analytics/performance metrics.
• Google: only if you use Google sign-in, to verify your identity.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service. If donations are offered, payments are handled entirely by a third-party platform (Ko-fi) on their own systems: we do not receive or store your payment card details.

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate, anonymized usage (such as page views and load times) so we can improve performance. We use cookies and similar browser storage only as needed to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We keep your account and study data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it for legal or security reasons.

You can, at any time:

• Access or update your account information from your preferences.
• Request a copy of your data, or request that we correct or delete it, by emailing us.
• Stop using the service and request account deletion.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@stayfocusedact.com.

The service is intended for students aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We rely on reputable providers (Supabase and Vercel) and reasonable technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any issues.

The service is operated from Thailand, and your data may be processed in other countries through our providers, including the United States (for example, Supabase and Vercel). By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be highlighted in the app. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
